Needless to say that tourism has been hit hard by the covid-19 crisis. And at this moment in time, it is doubtful that tourism and travel will ever be the same again.

Hard times like these, is also the time when heroes are forged.

All across the globe responsible hotels, lodges and camps are engaged in supporting their local communities while also struggeling themselves with the lack of revenue.

In Cambodia an initiative by 3 hotels and a museum called #hotelsjoininghands are distributing 400 locally cooked mealpacks a day for the most affeced people.

As a biologist I started my career as a safari tour guide in Tanzania and Kenya. Later I worked for the UN a couple of times, and and lately for a sustainability NGO. I love to travel both professionally and with my family.
